Today some groups of children visited the exhibition. They ran up the stairs as soon as they saw the computer images on the wall. They asked me whether it was a computer game…well..I said…actually it is an artwork created with a computer. They didn´t quite understand the concept of a computer artwork. They thought an artwork should either be a painting or a sculpture…plain and simple…I then tried to explain it further but they all argued that the way it looked it had to be a computer game. I guess they have their definition of art from teachers or visits to more traditional museum exhibitions. It was certainly difficult to persuade them that art can be made with a computer….Maybe next time they see a digital artwork they won´t be as hesitant to acknowledge it as art…

The 1, 2 and 3rd launching took place, both on the Tagging Art platform in SL and at SMK in RL. At the 2 and 3rd launching a reality hub was present at the launching in SL. Though some technical difficulties made it a bit hard to communicate with the people present, some interresting conversations did take place. Some argued that there should be more activities on the Tagging Art platform in SL and that there where way too much focus on the activities at SMK in RL. They brought the argument that SL has much more potential than RL. Why not make the entire launching in SL? Now that would be taking the concept of exploring SL to the max….What do you think? Maybe they´re right…..
